Last night was amazing! We raised over $2000 for the band shed fire benefit fund! Huge thanks to Studio 7 for donating the venue to the cause. The entire scene has been so supportive it has been unreal. So many bands, promoters, fans, friends, radio personalities, and wonderful individuals have made it possible to continue on after this tragedy.

You guys are all amazing, and the Seattle music scene is lucky to have you!

ESITU has the honor of being featured by KISW 99.9FMs BJ Shea morning experience as the Band of the Week!

We got a chance to sit down with Mr. Spanky Spangler (the host) and have a good chat about us, about the fire, about the music scene, and lots of different stuff.

It is about 40 mins. The first 1/2 of the show is an interview with a guy named Scott McKinley – photographer, promoter, band manager, and all around good guy. He’s been making waves in the scene recently and has a cool story to tell.

Good news! We have finally managed to book a show. It will be a HUGE benefit show for all the bands that lost gear on Dec 24th. Head over to Our show page and check out details for this awesome show. This year has been… a ride

First of all, we would like to thank each and every one of you for the support you have offered us this past year. In a only a year we have had a lot happen. New music, two new websites, lost a member, gained an electronic member, gained new fans, found old fans, became fans ourselves, and most importantly, shared our creativity and passion with other like-minded individuals.

However, there have also been some downturns we have endured. Most recently, on Dec 24th, a fire consumed the building in which we shared band space with 10 other bands in the local music community. Some bands have suffered a complete loss of all their gear, some have fared better. We have bound together with these other bands in efforts to raise charity money to help get everyone back on their feet after this devastating blow. Additionally, the local music community in general has been phenomenal in their help and support. We feel incredibly lucky to have such amazing fans, friends, and colleagues.

We have taken up a collection fund for both ourselves and all the bands who have lost. Anything you can offer helps and we are deeply appreciative for even $5.

We will rebuild. 2012 will see the likes of tours, a new album (likely around April), new art, new merch, and much more. We look forward to sharing this with you, and hope you will enjoy this ride with us!

Wow, last night was amazing. Thanks to everyone who was involved in making it a special night.

Echoreason, Wide Eye Panic, and The Purpose Being – you guys all rule.

We’d also like to give some thanks to some people who helped us behind the scenes:

Sage, our fantastic magician. Sage, we always appreciate your unending quest to help heal the world through creativity and expression via your special talents.

Amasquerade Costume. We always appreciate the support you give us for this show. The masks and costumes we saw last night were beautiful – and we know at least a few people who picked them up from you.

LittleBen Productions. Thanks for the help with promoting. Always a pleasure to work with you.

Lastly, Studio 7. Thanks for the chance to rent the venue, as well as all your great staff who helped us last night.
